Do we even really need to explain why this is our No. 1 choice?

The Sanderson Sisters are without a doubt the best Halloween movie witches ever and Max, Allison and Dani were totally our favorite 90s kid-trio! Other Halloween movies don't even come close to beating the cult greatness that is Hocus Pocus. Case closed.

6. Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire

Every Millennial kid instantly loved this tale of the Hansen children battling a vampire that's trying to keep their mom in a trance after she goes on a date with him. Ya know, a casual story of Halloween in suburbia.

7. Phantom of the Megaplex

2000 was the year of DCOM Halloween hits and Phantom was certainly no exception with this story about 17-year-old Pete Riley and his two siblings saving the megaplex (and premiere of Midnight Mayhem) by thwarting the mysterious 'phantom.'

5. Double, Double, Toil and Trouble

Ahhh, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in their prime!

How could you not love this movie about Kelly and Lynn’s quest to find the magic moonstone to rescue their Aunt Sophia from being trapped in the attic mirror forever?

4. The Addams Family

Wednesday and Pugsley Addams may be our favorite brother-sister duo to date— seriously, this creepy-cool family was the. best.

3. Halloweentown

Arguably one of the best DCOM's ever—and, lucky for us, we got four Halloween-tastic movies in this series!

It's been 16 years since we first saw Marnie, Dylan and Sophie follow their grandmother to H-Town but we're still totally in love with this fun (read: hardly spooky at all) flick.

2. Beetlejuice

The star-studded cast of this classic hit truly made this movie amazing, but Winona Ryder's take on moody, gothic teen Lydia Deetz was actually perfect. We'll definitely be watching this movie all month long to get in the Halloween spirit!

There were no cooler kids in the '80s than this group who hunted monsters and ended up liking Scary German Guy. We also fell in love with Frankenstein because of them.
