Pete Davidson Is (Probably) Marrying Ariana Grande for Love, Not Her Eight-Figure Net Worth
She may have "No Tears Left to Cry"… but Ariana Grande has lot of dollars left to spend! The pint-sized pop star has a net worth 90 times greater than that of her reported fiancé, Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson. (And yeah, we still think it's weird that they are even together, let alone engaged!)
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Ariana Grande's net worth is in the $45 million range. Pete's net worth, on the other hand, is just $500,000. But hey, he doesn't have a platinum-level music career supplementing his TV paychecks.
After performing at theater and music gigs in her home state of Florida, Ariana was cast in the Broadway musical 13 in 2008 and then in the Nickelodeon show Victorious a year later (alongside her 13 co-star Elizabeth Gillies). Ariana's break into the mainstream, though, came in 2013 with the release of her debut album, Yours Truly. Bolstered by the lead single "The Way," Yours Truly topped the charts and was certified platinum. Then came the double-platinum album My Everything in 2014 and the platinum Dangerous Woman in 2016. Now the 24-year-old is hyping up the release of her fourth studio album, Sweetener, this summer. "It's kind of about bringing light to a situation or to someone's life or somebody else brings life to your life," she said on The Tonight Show in May. "Sweetening the situation."
And she'll certainly sweeten Pete's finances if and when they tie the knot. He and Ariana are the same age, but he has only been in the spotlight since 2013, when he appeared on MTV's Guy Code. Then came appearances in the TV shows Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Adam DeVine's House Party and a small part in the comedy film Trainwreck. That last gig caught the eye of co-star Bill Hader, then a full-time Saturday Night Live cast member, who recommended Pete to SNL head honcho Lorne Michaels. When Pete joined the famed late-night show for its 40th season, he ranked as one of the youngest-ever cast members and the first to be born in the 1990s. We first heard he and Ariana were dating a few weeks ago, and now they're apparently planning a wedding. Well, that's certainly something to "Focus" on!
