Ariana Grande is continuing to mourn the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. The rapper was found dead in his Studio City, CA home after an apparent drug overdose on Sept. 7 at just 26 years old. Now, a new report claims Ariana is “devastated” and is undergoing therapy to cope.

“Ariana is taking Mac’s death really rough, and her mother has been staying with her right now,” a friend told Radar Online. “She’s in therapy.” They added that the 25-year-old is laying low as she recovers from the tragedy but has taken the time to reach out to his loved ones. “Ariana has been in contact with his family and is doing everything she can to honor him.”

Earlier this week, Ariana skipped the Emmys, despite her fiancé, Pete Davidson, winning an award. According to People, the “God Is a Woman” singer and the Saturday Night Live star opted out of the award show in the best interest of Ariana’s mental health.

“Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend,” her team told the outlet. “She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without [a] deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.”

The couple called it quits in May and many fans cited Mac’s heartbreak as a potential cause for his reckless behavior — including a DUI arrest shortly after their split. In fact, some even blamed the songstress for his tragic passing.

“You honestly should feel ashamed,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Getting engaged so soon is not the best idea. Wait three years at least. Especially if you just broke up with someone.” A third added, “U [sic] the reason we all know that,” and a fourth said, “When he needed you the most you weren’t there for him, hope ur [sic] happy now!!”

No wonder she’s taking time to heal. Not to mention, it wasn’t that long ago that she survived a terrorist attack. Our hearts go out to Ariana during this difficult time.
