Even when Arie Luyendyk Jr. is just keeping to himself, the internet find a reason to be mad at him. A fan recently realized the striking resemblance the former Bachelor bears to a sketch of the Golden State Killer, a serial killer responsible for over 45 rapes and 12 murders who still hasn’t been found to this day. There’s certainly no denying that Arie looks like the Night Stalker when you take a look at this side-by-side:

“OH MY LORD. As an avid junkie of both true crime and this franchise… this just made my day. CREEEPY and hilarious,” wrote on fan on reddit when she saw the similarities. This fan thinks Lauren Burnham‘s fiance might be the straight-up reincarnation of evil itself. “I hadn’t noticed the resemblance before but wow! As much as I dislike Arie, I don’t think he was raping and murdering in the 70s,” a user wrote. “Now a reincarnation, I might be able to get behind that idea.”

We don’t know about reincarnation, but don’t worry guys, Arie couldn’t possibly be the killer. The notorious murderer was active from 1979 until 1986. Arie is 36, which means he would only be five years old when the last Golden State murders took place. Not only that, but his family lived in the Netherlands until he was three, and then they relocated to Wisconsin. So yeah, he’s definitely not the Golden State Killer. The only thing Arie’s killing is womens’ hearts.

And yes, that is a mug shot of Arie above. In 2008 he was arrested for driving with a suspended license. That seems to be the extent of his criminal history, unless you count breaking Becca Kufrin’s heart as a crime (which we definitely do.)
