Does Ben Flajnik need a do-over?

In a new interview, the Bachelor alum, 30, admits exclusively to Life & Style that he never should have chosen Courtney Robertson, 29, over the 24 other contestants vying for his affection. “I should apologize to all those women and say, ‘Sorry I didn’t see it,’” Ben admits. “I really have lost all respect for this person that I thought I knew and that I was in love with at one point.”

Feeling foolish after defending the woman he thought he would end up with, Ben, along with his family and friends, can identify with the show’s contestants who tried to prove Courtney’s true character the whole season. “She just had me fooled,” Ben tells Life & Style. “I talk to my friends all the time and they’re like, ‘Maybe she was just really good at it. She got all of us fooled, too, Ben. You weren’t the only one.’”

And if the women of Ben’s season couldn’t convince him, his family definitely warned him to think twice before walking down the aisle with his soon-to-be bride-to-be. But, Ben tells Life & Style he needed to figure it out for himself. “I wanted to see it through on my own. I knew if it was going to work or not. It just took a little bit longer."

And since their breakup in October, Courtney has since moved on to dating Bachelorette runner-up contestant Arie Luyendyk Jr., who Ben admittedly thought was his friend: “I thought that we were cool and I guess not.”

But one thing Ben is sure of these days: “You know, hindsight is 20/20,” he tells Life & Style.
