We’re not sure what we’re enjoying more on this season of The Bachelor — Arie’s lady drama or all of the mistakes fans keep finding on the show! The most recent gaffe came on the Feb. 19 episode, and the producers were called out by none other than former contestant Raven Gates! Somebody messed up and put that Arkansas resident Tia Booth was from Weiner, AK… which stands for Alaska!

It’s no secret that not everything you see on reality TV is, well, real. While it’s unusual — if not unheard of — for a reality show to be scripted, it’s pretty common for these situations to be either manipulated or scenes edited in order to tell a better story. But still, we were pretty surprised to see how much Bachelor has messed up this season!

Earlier this season, Bach had a couple pretty bad continuity errors. For example, Lauren Burnham was more than thrilled to get her first one-on-one date with Arie when mid-sentence she somehow managed to change her entire outfit! In a matter of seconds she swapped her tan jacket and white blouse for a frilly floral blue dress. An eagle-eyed reddit fan captured the moment here, but check out the proof below:

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the first time the ABC editors missed something like this. Just one week earlier, there was another error in the segment where the ladies went bowling. In setting up the scene for the date, we got a gratuitous shot of Arie, alone, in a bowling alley. In setting up the shot, we see Arie grab a ball and lick it (we know what you’re thinking, but more on that later); when licking the ball, it’s labeled with the number eight… Then, he prepares to actually bowl and he is holding a “ten.” Hmm… Let’s examine the evidence!

We’re guessing Arie didn’t look super cool in the first number of shots, so they had to keep shooting and just pieced the best pieces together. Which, you know, makes sense considering literally no one looks cool doing what Arie did in the scene (though we appreciate his attempt).

By the way if you — like so many Bachelor viewers are wondering why the heck Arie licked the bowling ball in the first place, and it turns out it isn’t as gross as it looked! Well, actually, it’s exactly as gross as it looked… It just wasn’t nearly as random/artibitrarily disgusting as it looked!

What many fans may not have realized is that it was actually a reference to The Big Lebowski! In the cult classic, Jesus — a member of The Dude’s rival bowling team — licks the ball before sending it down the alley. And it looks like Arie was just referencing the beloved movie! Of course, based on the tweets being sent during the scene, we have a feeling that there isn’t a ton of crossover between Bachelor viewers and fans of The Big Lebowski. The latter, by the way, came out when Bekah M. was only three-years-old… So that’s something!
