"I Do!"‘Bachelorette’ Alum Emily Maynard Gets Married in Surprise Wedding!
It turns out Emily Maynard got her happily ever after — and it was one big surprise!
The blonde beauty, who appeared as The Bachelorette in season 8, has married boyfriend Tyler Johnson in Smyrna, S.C. Family and friends of the couple thought they were attending just an engagement party
Instead, it was the duo’s nuptials at Tyler’s family farm. Emily’s 8-year-old daughter Ricki, her child with late NASCAR racer Ricky Hendrick, watched her mother say “I do.”
The event comes six months after he popped the question shortly after New Year’s. The duo had only dated just a short time before Tyler, 27, asked Emily’s father and Ricki’s paternal godparents for the reality star’s hand in marriage.
“Emily started wedding planing before she was even engaged,” one of the 28-year-old’s friends tells Life & Style. “They met in church and quickly developed a very close relationship.”
Emily had previously won Brad Womack‘s heart on The Bachelor in 2011. The pair broke up three months after their engagement aired in March.
She went on to star on The Bachelorette in 2012, with contestant Jef Holm proposing to her in the end. They parted ways in October 2012.
