She'll always be their little girl! Beyoncé and JAY-Z are breathing a sigh of relief now that their five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy seems to be settling into her new role as a big sister with ease. Sources revealed that the power couple was worried that their firstborn daughter would not adjust well after they welcomed their twins — a son named Sir and a daughter named Rumi — back in June.
“Beyoncé has been very busy with the newborns, but she’s also been able to relax a bit. It’s helped her that Blue has been such an amazing big sister,” a source told People magazine, which is great since they were concerned that Blue would “feel left out" once the twins arrived.
“There was no need to worry because Blue is great,” the source continued. “She takes her job as a big sister very seriously and helps out a lot.”
While Bey was pregnant, the source said she “made sure to spend lots of quality time” with Blue — and even documented a few of their family outings on Instagram. The mommy-daughter duo had fun with Snapchat filters while attending a basketball game back in February, they had a silly photo shoot complete with bunny ears on Easter, and Bey shared a handful of snaps from their Mother's Day trip to the Museum of Ice Cream.
It's a good thing Blue got to spend so much time with her mom and dad, especially since her schedule will be getting a little bit busier now that she's starting school this fall. “Blue is excited about starting kindergarten,” the insider revealed. “She misses her friends. It will be fun for her to get back to her own life at school."
