Britney Spears is already mom to two adorable boys, Sean, 10, and Jayden, 9, but Life & Style has learned that the singer wants to add a little girl to the mix.

“She wants to adopt a baby from China,” a source exclusively reveals.

Although the country’s strict “one child per family” policy recently ended, Chinese culture traditionally values sons, leading lots of baby girls to be put up for adoption each year.

Britney spent much of her recent family vacation in Hawaii fawning over sister Jamie Lynn’s seven-year-old daughter, Maddie. “It made Britney realize how much she really wants to have a little girl,” says the source.

Her father, Jamie, doesn’t support the idea though, and that’s a problem. He’s been Britney’s conservator since her 2008 breakdown, and has control over her legal and financial decisions.

“He told Britney she should focus on the children she already has,” the source tells Life & Style, adding that as long as she’s still under a conservatorship, it will be impossible for Britney to adopt without her father’s approval.
