Fans have noticed a change in Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, which came after the couple realized they had gained weight due to an obsession with food delivery. “Postmates makes it so easy,” Jax recently quipped to Bravo’s Daily Dish. “You know, you can order Taco Bell, McDonald’s, whatever you want. You don’t even have to get off the couch.”

The 38-year-old said he was the one who proposed a diet and stricter exercise regiment, but certainly didn't intend to cause controversy. “Everyone made it seem like I was calling Brittany overweight,” he shared. “I wasn’t doing that. What I was saying was, ‘Brittany, both of us are getting kinda lazy.’ So I thought, you know what, let’s go to the gym, let’s get more active, let’s get out of this slump that we’re in. We kinda fell in a bit of a rut of eating and watching TV all day. I just felt like we were gaining weight, both of us.”

Their Vanderpump Rules spin-off, Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky, also served as a wake-up call. “I was watching the show and I was like, ‘I cannot believe how heavy I was,’” he told Page Six. “I was like 30 pounds heavier in that show … Working on the farm, you’re eating a lot of food that’s delicious, but it’s very fattening. We definitely took advantage of that, but we definitely paid for it.”

So this SUR couple cut out fast food and headed to the gym. “We were doing these boot camps — actually, a thing called Sweat Garage that we love,” the bartender told Daily Dish. “It’s like a drug. You wanna go every day, and you wanna be careful and watch what you eat.”

Brittany has been looking super-svelte as well, and Jax isn’t afraid to share his scale readout. “I’m at a strong 197,” he said. “That’s where I wanted to be. I think I started at 225. So I’m good now.”
