If this were a Full House episode, Uncle Jesse would spend the last five minutes apologizing to DJ Tanner — while sad music played, of course.
After Candace Cameron Bure, who played DJ on the hit ‘90s series, found out she made it to the Dancing With the Stars finale on last night’s episode, she told Life & Style John Stamos (the oh-so swoon-worthy Uncle Jesse) was supposed to be in the audience — but work got in the way.
“John was supposed to come today actually, but he’s in India now for three weeks working,” she told Life & Style after she and partner Mark Ballas scored a total of 72 out of 80 for their Viennese Waltz (34) and jazz (38) dances.
So will we see Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) or Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone) in the audience next week?
“I don’t know if they’ll be here,” she admitted, adding Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle Tanner) will probably not show up — how rude!
Luckily, Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) have been supporting the former child star.
One thing you won’t see the mother-of-three doing in the finale is jiving to the show’s theme song.
“That would be hard to dance to,” she said. “Mark’s a really good choreographer, but I think that would be really challenging!”
Candace will face off against Olympian Meryl Davis, Paralympian Amy Purdy, and Big Time Rush star James Maslow for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy next week.
