‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Couple Carly Waddell and Evan Bass’ Wedding Is Seriously Going to Make You Cry

Love is still in the air for Carly Waddell and Evan Bass
and now that the dust from the Bachelor in Paradise scandal has settled, fans will finally get to see them say “I do” on national TV! ABC is set to air a wedding special on Tuesday, Aug. 15 and it’s going to be one for the Bachelor Nation books.

Back in June, the couple — who met, fell in love, and got engaged during Season 3 of the popular Bachelor/Bachelorette spin-off — got married in a gorgeous beachside ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where they met on BiP, E! News reported. The wedding was officiated by franchise host Chris Harrison and fans will get to watch it all play out.

Both Evan and Carly’s wedding bands were designed by the famed celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, and a handful of franchise stars like Wells Adams, Shawn Booth, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Luke Pell, and fellow BiP couple Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert were all in attendance — and Jade even walked down the aisle with her baby bump.

Carly and Evan are one of just two couples who found a way to make their relationship work after falling in love on the reality show, and since their entire love story played out on camera, it makes sense that they would share their wedding day with fans during a televised event — even though, for a brief moment, it seemed like it wouldn’t ever make the air.

Rumors about their TV wedding special started swirling after Reality Steve reported that Carly and Evan were going to have a segment dedicated to their nuptials on the upcoming season of BiP. But production on Season 4 of the dating show was suspended indefinitely on Sunday, June 11 after a producer filed a complaint against Warner Bros. — the studio that produces the show — after there was alleged “misconduct” on the set of two cast members. Once the investigation found that there was no misconduct on the set, filming resumed.

Shortly after tying the knot, Carly wrote a sweet tribute to her hubby and gushed about the details of their nuptials. “Evan and I had a dream wedding on Saturday. It was truly the perfect day with friends and family in Mexico. There was no better way to celebrate the start of our forever journey together,” she wrote on Instagram. “The setting, in a garden overlooking the ocean, created a stunning visual that I don’t think anyone will forget. Evan’s children delivered heartfelt and hysterical speeches that had everyone laughing and crying simultaneously. The love from Bachelor Nation has been overwhelming and we are so grateful to all who helped make this day amazing. I’m so happy and so in love with this man.”
