Celebrity Halloween costumes are generally fun and creative, but some celebs take it too far. Hilary Duff and her boyfriend Jason Walsh are both under fire for dressing up as a sexy pilgrim and a Native American. Hilary has since apologized, but this is not the first time fans were outraged over a celeb's costume. There have been plenty of guilty offenders in the past — and you probably forgot all about them.

The Teen Wolf star received backlash for these costumes, which both depict "blackface" and "brownface." However, he later apologized. "I got in trouble for a few of my costumes in the past. I wasn’t aware I was offending people," he said in 2013. "That wasn’t my intention at all."

Back in 2014, Scott and Khloé Kardashian posted this photo with the caption, "Sheik p—y." Demands for the photo to be taken down were ignored.

In 2014, the rapper apologized for offending fans with his costume. "I acknowledge how the costume could, within a context of stereotyping, be ascribed to a Jewish caricature," he wrote on his website. "I am here to say that it was absolutely not my intention, and unfortunately at the time I did not foresee the costume to be viewed in such regard."

The British star apologized for upsetting fans, who thought she was making light of mental illness. "I am sorry if I have upset anyone. As you will see in my next picture I am a prisoner and they are cuts from the handcuffs," she explained on Instagram.

Ryan shocked fans with this costume that depicted the late singer as a decomposing corpse. His Twitter followers did not share his humor. "I’m all up for a joke but this is insensitive -she’s only been gone a couple of months," a fan wrote.
