Music lovers, rejoice! Demi Lovato shared some big news while taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, August 20, confirming that she’ll be dropping some new music in the near future. The pop star teased details about her upcoming album while responding to a sweet birthday wish from songwriter Bianca “Blush” Atterberry.

To celebrate Demi turning 27, Bianca posted a photo of the singer in the studio captioned, “whole ass queen.” Demi sweetly replied, “You are so essential to this album and I’m forever grateful for what we’ve created together … love you sis.”

Producer Oak Felder also wished the songstress “a love filled day,” and Demi dished about their collaboration on her upcoming project. “We got f–king FIRE coming soon!!!” she wrote. “Can’t wait to continue this journey with you fam. Love you.”

Fans can hardly wait to hear Demi’s new jams, especially since this upcoming album — her seventh — will also mark her return to music. She previously dropped the chart-topping album Tell Me You Love Me back in 2017, prior to her apparent overdose in the summer of 2018. Demi took to social media to voice her excitement about sharing vulnerable new singles with the world back in June.

“You know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it,” she wrote at the time.

Demi has been living it up to the fullest as of late, having recently attended Ariana Grande’s Sweetener concert at the O2 Arena in London for her birthday. Ariana even did a “before show prayer” with a sweet shoutout for Demi to ring in the special occasion.

It’s now been over a year since the “Sorry Not Sorry” artist was hospitalized for an apparent relapse and she’s continued to make strides. “Demi is writing songs, working out, meditating and just filling her path, and of course being sober,” a source exclusively told In Touch.

“She feels like her last relapse was an an eye-opener and a reminder that she needs to stay diligent and work her sobriety program.” Another insider previously explained, “She’s remained determined to lead a life of sobriety and live her life to its fullest potential, especially following the first anniversary of her relapse.”

Keep shining, Demi!
