According to a source, Bruce Jenner has undergone gender reassignment surgery after revealing last month his desire to live as a woman.
"The procedure involved reshaping Bruce's male genitalia into that of a woman," an insider tells RadarOnline.com, adding that it took place "over three weeks ago."

The 65-year-old is reportedly "very happy with the results, but didn't realize how grueling the recovery would be."
In the immediate aftermath of the more than eight-hour surgery, "Bruce thought he had a urinary tract infection, but it was simply the pain from the procedure."

But, as the source emphasizes, “Bruce is officially, and for all legal purposes, considered a woman. [His] kids have never seen him so happy. They just wish he would publicly start living as a woman, but contractually, he has to keep it under wraps until the docuseries [on E!] premieres.”

The former Olympian shocked family members on the recent About Bruce special (which was filmed in January) after revealing that he'd like to begin the gender reassignment process sooner rather than later. He mentioned spring as a possibility for when the changes would begin to occur.
(Editor’s Note: Bruce Jenner has clarified that he prefers the media still use the familiar male pronouns, so we will respect his wishes until he indicates otherwise.)
