Will 2018 have a nice ring to it for Dorinda Medley? In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, the Real Housewives of New York star dished on her boyfriend, John Mahdessian — and where exactly that relationship is headed!

“John and I are in a very happy relationship, he’s my best friend I love him very much,” the Bravolebrity shared. “You know what they say, you know how to ruin a good relationship? Get married. But I love him very much, we are very together.” We guess this longtime couple won’t be taking the next step anytime soon — but we do love seeing them so happy!

This is hardly the first time the couple proved they’ll do whatever it takes to keep their romance going. Back in April, the mother-of-one opened up to [Entertainment Tonight](http://www.etonline.com/tv/216127exclusivedorindamedleyjohnmahdessian)_ about why John no longer appears on the show. “It was a mutual decision,” Dorinda explained. “I actually thought about it. I can’t think of any couple on the Housewives that it’s been successful for? If you look at the track record, it’s separating church and state a little bit. I think it’s healthy to be able to do this, go home and have somebody who’s not part of it.”

“I felt like it was distracting from me, the audience getting to see me, and me getting to really get involved with the girls, because I felt like I was protecting and managing him,” she continued.

One thing is for sure, though — the dry cleaning mogul will be by his lady’s side on Sunday night, as she hosts the first-ever New Year’s Eve party at the Bryant Park Hotel’s newly opened Célon Lounge in NYC. “The space is amazing and the cocktails are even better!” she stated. “I can’t wait to meet all new people and ring in the new year with everyone but I especially can’t wait for Célon Lounge’s Charcoal Gold Leaf Martini. God knows it’s probably going to replace my signature dirty martini!”

Sadly, however, the blonde beauty’s RHONY co-stars will not be present for the occasion. “They will all be traveling for the holidays,” she explained. “My cast mates take every opportunity to use time off to travel and be with their families.
