Drake Reveals He Sends Jennifer Lopez “Drunk Texts” in New Song
It looks like Drake is finally ready to open up about his split from Jennifer Lopez!
The Canadian rapper released his highly anticipated new playlist More Life on Saturday, March 18 — and he didn’t waste any time name-dropping his famous ex! In the first song titled “Free Smoke,” he opened up about how he’s been dealing with their breakup.
“I drunk text J.Lo / Old number, so it bounce back,” the 30-year-old revealed in a candid line that suggests Jen changed her number since their split.

Even though they never confirmed it, Drake and the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer had a fling for almost two months, which started when they posed for a photo together after Drake visited the 47-year-old at her “All I Have” Las Vegas residency in December. The pair also cuddled up together in another photo posted to Instagram, and they were spotted on PDA-filled outings together — and J.Lo even rang in the new year with Drake at his concert in Las Vegas.
But Drake seemed to explain why their relationship fizzled out so quickly during a concert after he congratulated a couple in the audience for being together for seven years.
“I can’t even make a relationship last seven weeks man,” he admitted.

Jen didn’t reveal much about their romantic relationship while they were dating, but she did confirm that they were working on a song together while she was being interviewed on the Grammys red carpet by Ryan Seacrest last month.
She said that they did have some “sparks” during their working relationship, but it seems like that fizzled out along with their romantic sparks because the song that they were working on, titled “Get It Together,” did make it on Drake’s new playlist — but J.Lo’s vocal tracks were replaced by a British singer named Jorja Smith.
But it doesn’t seem like Jen is too worried about being replaced because she’s been keeping herself busy with a new relationship! Though it’s yet to be confirmed, J.Lo is rumored to be dating former baseball pro Alex Rodriguez after they were spotted out together on multiple occasions over the past few weeks.
