Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Pregnant Girlfriend Lauren Hashian Once Auditioned to Be in TLC
Girl group material? Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, recently revealed they’re expecting a second child together. The couple’s adorable 11-month-old daughter, Jasmine, helped share the exciting news on Monday, Dec. 11.
“Our Jasmine Lia would like to make a big announcement — IT’S A GIRL!” The Rock wrote on Instagram. “@laurenhashianofficial and I are boundlessly grateful for this blessing as this spring we’ll welcome our second baby. Plus, Jazzy is excited to boss around and protect her lil’ sis.”
But before she was a second-time mom-to-be, Lauren, 33, once auditioned to be apart of TLC. The Massachusetts native was one of the contestants who competed on the 2005 reality series R U the Girl, hosted by TLC’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas. The show — which premiered on the UPN three years after Lisa “Lefteye” Lopes’ tragic death — was created to find a replacement for the late rapper.

While she didn’t win, Lauren still pursued her dream of making music. In 2016, the singer-songwriter released her single, “Go Hard” — which, TBH, is a grade-A track. But there’s so much more to Lauren than her powerful pipes…or even her world-famous baby daddy. Here, Life & Style rounds up some fun facts about Miss Hashian.

Lauren’s father, Sib Hashian, served as the drummer for the iconic band Boston from 1975 until the early 1980s. Back in March, Sib sadly passed away at the age of 67 after collapsing mid-performance aboard a cruise ship. At the time, The Rock shared a touching tribute to the rocker via Instagram.
“Rest In Peace & Love to my second dad Sib Hashian. Don’t know why things have to happen the way they do sometimes. When loved ones leave us so suddenly without having a chance to say goodbye…What a full and exciting life this man lived,” the WWE star-turned-actor wrote. “What an amazing family he created, loved, watched over and protected. Being on stage, in front of adoring fans, friends and family. Keeping the beat one last time. Your passing in this manner is extremely poetic and somehow beautiful.”
Lauren and The Rock have been together for a decade.

Lauren and The Rock met on the set of 2007’s The Game Plan. Since then, they’ve been inseparable — although they have yet to tie the knot. During a November 2016 interview with People magazine, The Rock opened up about his private relationship with the brunette beauty. “She teases me about everything. Everything. Nothing is off limits in our house,” he revealed. “And it’s the beauty of it. And I tease her with everything.”
Lauren gets along great with The Rock’s ex-wife.

Interestingly enough, The Rock’s ex-wife, Dany Garcia (they share daughter Simone, 16), still serves as his manager. So, naturally, the former couple spend a lot of time together — even when Lauren’s around. The trio recently attended the Dec. 11 premiere of Jumanji together.
Lauren is obsessed with being a mom.
She may have a passion for music, but Lauren’s main focus is being a mother. She frequently takes to Instagram to share adorable snaps of Jasmine. On Oct. 4, Lauren posted a super-cute collage of selfies with her little girl. “First time munchkin selfies while bed time snugglin’ and somehow she knew exactly what to do,” she captioned the post. We can’t wait to see baby No. 2 make her social media debut!
