There’s no love triangle going on at Dancing With the Stars!

After a report surfaced that pro Peta Murgatroyd was faking a relationship with her current dance partner, James Maslow, to her ex Maksim Chmerkovskiy jealous and win him back, a source close to Peta sets the record straight to Life & Style.

“The real story is that Maks came back to DWTS this season and no one was happy he returned,” the insider exclusively tells the mag. “He tried to reconnect with Peta. She dismissed him.”

And that didn’t sit well with Maks – so what did he do next?

“That frustrated him, so he then moved on to his ex-fiancée Karina Smirnoff,” the source explains. “Throughout the season he’s been trying to get Peta’s attention — even faking a showmance with [his current partner,] Meryl Davis!”

And guess what, Maks? Your plan isn’t working!

“Peta is definitely not interested in Maks. She’s very happy with her personal life at the moment,” says the Peta source, “which excludes Maks.”
