At eight months pregnant, Sierra Sharry tragically lost the father of her unborn child, Lane, in a boat racing accident.
“July 13th 2014 was the absolute worst day of my life,” she wrote on Facebook. "And since that day I have felt so empty inside. A part of me will forever be missing. I loved that man more than life itself.”

Six months later, Sharry and her infant son, Taos, were participating in a portrait session with Kayli Rene' Photography when she got an idea.
“I needed a picture of my family, one that can help my son realize that just because Lane isn’t with us physically he is still here for us and watching over us everyday,” Sharry told BuzzFeed News.
So photographer Kayli Henley used Photoshop to incorporate an old photo of Lane into ones of Sharry and Taos.
“When I saw the picture I immediately started crying,” Sharry said. “I never thought I would be able to see us all together.”
Since posted to Facebook on April 1, the picture has since gotten over 200,000 likes and more than 28,000 shares.
