Love is quite literally in the air, y’all! On Aug. 7, news broke that Ellie Goulding and her boyfriend, Caspar Jopling, are officially engaged. Their announcement marks not one, not two, not three, but a whopping four A-list celebrity engagements since the beginning of summer 2018.

The British singer and her handsome beau follow in the footsteps of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, and Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. That said, unlike the Hollywood lovebirds that came before them, Ellie and Caspar have been together for 18 months now. Which, to be fair, still screams “whirlwind romance” if you ask us.

The couple’s upcoming nuptials were formally announced in The Times newspaper. How retro! “The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs. Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr. Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs. Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.”

According to Cosmopolitan, Ellie and Caspar reportedly began dating back in April 2017. Prior to that, however, the “Starry Eyed” singer had been romantically linked to Skrillex, Niall Horan, Ed Sheeran, and believe it or not: Prince Harry. It looks like Ellie is an exception to the whole “sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs to find your prince” adage.

No shade to Caspar, but his name isn’t exactly as recognizable as Prince Harry’s, so we did a little digging on what Ellie’s husband-to-be is all about. According to E! News, Caspar is a Harvard educated art dealer who works for Sotheby’s in NYC. Not too shabby, huh? In addition to that, Caspar considers Princess Eugenie to be a close friend. Well, it certainly sounds like Ellie has landed herself a keeper.

A source close to 31-year-old told The Sun that Ellie is “over the moon” and has “never felt so happy.” Aw, that’s fantastic. Congrats to the happy couple — we’ll be here patiently awaiting more details on what’s sure to be a beautiful wedding.
