Who knew The Real Slim Shady was such a good person?
When you think of Eminem, odds are you think of an angry rapper who curses a lot and never smiles — but shockingly, he's also the angry rapper who visits terminally ill fans to cheer them up.
Gage Garmo, 17, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, and was told he only had seven days left to live. His one last wish? To meet his idol, Marshall Mathers.
After friends tweeted at the 'Shake That' singer with the hashtag, #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem, he traveled to the fan's home in Rochester Hills, Mich., and spent some quality time with him — just 24 hours before he passed away.
Eminem remained quiet about the meeting, but fellow rapper Royce da 5'9" shared details of the visit on Instagram.
"Mission accomplished. God Bless this beautiful kid and thank you guys for all your hard work..." he wrote.
'The Detroit Free Press' says Gage was grinning from ear to ear while meeting his favorite rapper.
"His family hadn't seen their son do that in such a long time," the source said.
