The new dating reality show Ex on the Beach is exactly what it sounds like. Quoth one contestant as she sees a dude emerging from the surf, "Oh my god, that's my f–king ex." Yes, MTV is showing off its sadistic streak by inviting both reality stars and normal folks to a tropical resort and then letting their exes crash the party. Even better, the Ex on the Beach cast is filled with names you'll likely recognize. (And we're not just talking about host Romeo Miller.)

MTV bills the show as a "social experiment" with "10 romantically embattled reality stars [and] everyday singles who show up for what they think is a run-of-the-mill love and dating show in paradise, only to be completely blindsided by their exes (in some cases multiple) face-to-face. A complicated web of hookups, deceit, revenge, and drama unfolds against the sultry backdrop as couples decide if their love can be reignited, or if the flame of romance is gone for good."

Let's start with those unsuspecting singles. They are — drum roll, please…

Jasmine Goode

The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise star is back on the beach to find love — or so she thinks. However, don't expect Matt Munson to be her returning ex. "With every day, I get a little more satisfied with my decision," Matt exclusively told Life & Style of his decision to break up with Jasmine on BiP. "You know, I mean, I guess the question would be, do I have any FOMO when I watch these episodes? I miss my buddies, and all the girls are good too — I just it was not the place for me. I'm happy to be home."

Chase McNary

Another Bachelor alum making their return to reality TV on the dating series is Chase, who appeared on JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette. He recently admmited to skipping The Bachelor Winter Games to appear on the MTV show. "I made a split-second decision to jump over to MTV to try a new market, try a new production company and network,” he said. “Going into it, I really didn’t know what I was expecting, didn’t know how it was going to go," he told The Denver Post. "It’s definitely more dramatic. When you get coeds living in the house with real live relationships and exes coming in, that’s where actual drama and emotions come in. You’re always with your ex or someone else’s exes. There was never an easy moment." His ex is Skyler Mikkelson.

Big Brother fans will definitely remember Paul as Cody Calafiore's little brother He is currently dating Bachelor alum Danielle Maltby, so clearly Ex on the Beach didn't work out for the reality star.

Faith Stowers

The Vanderpump Rules homewrecker is headed to the beach — this time pursued by someone not named Jax Taylor. "On to the next network… can’t wait for you all to see it!" she tweeted following the cheating scandal on the Bravo series.

The 26-year-old, who has appeared on the another popular MTV show The Challenge, recently opened up about the experience. "I suck at relationships. I need all the practice I can get and I feel like this show gives me a good opportunity to work on that," he told Us Weekly. "I’m scared of the word love. Let’s be careful when we say that about this show! Love is a strong word, right? We want to find that next step in our lives. That’s love for some people, that’s just dating for others."

It's no surprise Cory seems totally thrown by the plot twist. "Why the f–k did I sign up for this show?" he says in the promo.

Angela Babicz

Expect this Bad Girl to bring the drama to the beach especially when her ex Derrick Henry shows up. "I knew it could only be one of two exes, and when I saw her on the beach in that first scene, I knew this was not going to be fun for me," Derrick said of his ex-girlfriend's reaction. "I kind of wanted to jump back in the water and see if I could swim back to L.A. She was screaming at me before the show even started. Lil' Romeo didn't even get two words in."

We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for the model and Are You The One? star.

Viewers can also expect newcomers Tor'i Brooks, Victoria Alario, and Chris Pearson.

Now how about them exes? Six of them are former stars of Are You The One? — Shanley McIntee, Derrick Henry, Cameron Kolbo, Joe Torgerson, Alicia Wright, Andre Siemers — and eight of them are new faces — Marcus Rosenzweig, Marco Delvecchio, Skyler Mikkelson, Lexi Marsella, June Robinson, Luis Rivera, Haley Read, and Chelsko Thompson.

(Is this "Marco Delvecchio" fellow related to Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio? They're both from Providence, RI, so…)
