Jordin Sparks is one determined lady.
After losing a total of 50 pounds over the past two-and-a-half years, the American Idol champ reveals to Life & Style that she’s been able to keep all the weight off.
“I was carrying a 5-year-old. It’s insane,” the singer-actress recalls. “Fall 2010 through March, that's kind of when I lost the first 30 pounds. By March of last year, I lost 50. And then I maintained it for the rest of the year.”
The “No Air” songstress says though she “wasn’t really trying to lose” any more weight, she’s lost a total of five pounds this year. She tells Life & Style, “I was just trying to tone everything.”
And her incredible body transformation has really paid off. The brunette beauty, 23, stuns on this month’s issue of Women’s Running. So how did she prep for it?
“I was in the gym all day long. When I got up I would hike, then I would go to the trainer. At night, I would go to my Latin dance fitness class,” she shares. “I really kicked it into high gear for this.”
And Jordin, who’s been dating beau Jason Derulo for a year-and-a-half, is more than happy with the results.
“I would've never thought two years ago that I would be doing running magazines and fitness magazines. It's really cool,” says Jordin. “The fact that I can look back on the past two-and-a-half years of my life and say, ‘I did that’ —it's a really good feeling to feel.”
