Playing Carrie Bradshaw for six seasons and two movies, Sarah Jessica Parker has worn some of the most amazing outfits and accessories.
(Let’s take a minute to pay respect to the gorgeous Manolos that hit the city sidewalks during that era.)
But if there’s one particular style moment on Sex and the City that stands out to her, it’s the time Carrie slipped into that breathtaking Vivienne Westwood gown and put a bird on her head to say a long-awaited “I do” to Mr. Big (only to end up hitting him with her bouquet outside of Bryant Park after he stood her up) in the first Sex and the City film in 2008.
When recently asked about her best vintage find of all-time, the actress told Life & Style, “The blue bird in the Carrie wedding dress. That was from a vintage shop.”
Though the star says she still thinks of it as “a great find and treasure,” unfortunately, it no longer belongs to her.
“It’s back in their hands, but I had custody of it once, so that was a pretty good find,” she told the mag at the 2014 CLIO Image Awards in NYC Wednesday night.
But we’re pretty sure SJP isn’t losing any sleep over parting with the accessory – considering she owns just about everything else from the HBO hit!
“I’ve kept everything that didn’t come directly from a designer or wasn’t rented. Yes, I have it in archive,” the mother-of-three, 49, revealed on The Wendy Williams Show earlier this year.
“I literally have everything!”
Feel free to invite us over to sort through your collection anytime, SJP!
