‘Flip or Flop’ Stolen Car — What Really Happened to Tarek and Christina El Moussa’s Escalade!
In 2013, Flip or Flop stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa's car was stolen outside a home they were renovating.
The couple's Escalade was parked outside a Long Beach, CA house in broad daylight when the incident was captured by reality show cameras.

However, as fans of the real estate series know, the car was found by police shortly after and the stars eventually sold it to an employee.
Two years later, Christina, wrote about the incident in a blog and revealed what really happened on that episode.
"You can’t imagine the feeling I got when I was standing outside one of our flip houses, talking to Tarek about what color to paint the garage and I heard my car start," she wrote. "I put my purse on the front porch and didn’t think about what a huge mistake I was making. While Tarek and I were talking, a guy literally grabbed my keys from my purse and drove off in our SUV."

Along with keeping your personal safety in mind, Christina also mentioned the risk of buying a home in a "transitional area" and keeping your investment safe.
She continued, "Like many other mistakes, though, Tarek and I learned from it, and we’ve used what we’ve learned as we’ve continued to buy and flip houses. Hopefully, you can learn from it, too!"
The couple is currently going through a divorce after seven years of marriage.
Last month, sources revealed exclusively to Life & Style that Tarek threatened to rape his ex-wife in front of the HGTV crew.
He told the mother of his two children, “‘Shut up, woman, or I’ll rape you.’ He actually joked about raping Christina on more than one occasion. Tarek thinks it’s funny,” the eyewitness shares.
Tarek’s low points were “a huge factor in their marriage falling apart,” the source added. “Christina hit a breaking point and couldn’t stand to be around him anymore. She fell out of love.”
