George Clooney and Brad Pitt's friendship was beyond repair during his marriage to Angelina Jolie thanks to her jealousy of George's wife Amal.
Since Angelina blindsided Brad with divorce papers in September, sources are revealing to Life & Style that he and George, 55, have become close again.
"It took some time [for George] to forgive and accept Brad because he was really hurt," the insider says. "But he understands what Brad was up against being married to Angie. She is tough."

Angelina, 41, was envious of the human rights lawyer, 39, who is currently expecting twins with her Oscar-winning husband, and she didn't keep her feelings to herself.
"Angelina would even knock Amal's looks and fashion sense," the source says. "Amal seemed to ignore it, but George didn't want to sit by and watch his wife get cut down."
He was especially stung, "that Brad wouldn't stand up to Angie."
"Angelina was very controlling of Brad," explains the source, and "George was really upset Brad couldn't tell his wife to be kind and accepting of Amal."

Angelina recently sat down for her first post-split interview while in Cambodia with her six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — but Brad, 53, was not buying her "phony" performance.
"He feels like the entire interview was Angie's attempt to change the narrative that she was to blame for their divorce," an insider told Life & Style. "Brad didn't think Angie was being genuine at all. The dramatic pauses, the tears — he told his friends that he thought she was acting."
Now, he is giving advice to his Ocean's Eleven co-star on raising kids.
"It took time, but their relationship is finally mending," the source adds.
