Where you lead, we will follow, to any streaming service that you tell us to! The last sentence of Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life certainly left fans of the cut classic TV show desperate for more, but that seemed unlikely when creator Amy Sherman-Palladino went to Amazon with her (amazing) new show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. While fans worried that her new deal would mean Lorelai and Rory might never return, Amy revealed that’s not necessarily the case.

“We carved out a little niche for ourselves with Amazon saying that if we ever want to do it, if the girls and us get together and we have a concept that works, then we have the freedom to do it,” Amy told RadioTimes.com. She didn’t specify whether any new seasons would be available to stream on Netflix or Amazon, but it’s enough to give us hope!

Of course, it’s a big “if” when it comes to whether or not Amy and her husband/writing partner Daniel will ever actually want to do it. “It would just have to be the right circumstances, and that we’re all sort of in the same drunken mood together to go repaint Stars Hollow again,” she explained. “Because we had to repaint Stars Hollow, and we’ll have to repaint it again. But it’s definitely possible.”

Luckily, Amy had a really fantastic experience making the first season of the revival. “We feel great about it,” she said. “We really enjoyed it, we enjoyed the experience very much and it had a whole different feel than the [original] series did.” She said that since it was shuch a short run, it gave them more time to “hang out and talk.” “That is an unbelievable experience [that] we got to do that. We got to have that time together as a mad theatre group and that was amazing.”

But what about Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel? Amy is still very close with them both, and it sounds like they would jump if she ever asked. “I saw Lauren and Kelly – we had lunch last week. I talked to Alexis the week before,” she said. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that another revival happens!
