As a tribute to his late mother, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Gorga opened Italian eatery, Gorga’s Homemade Pasta & Pizza, alongside his sister Teresa Giudice last year. Well, the reviews are in — and fans are not flipping tables over the family-style food.

According to Yelp, the restaurant is rated two and a half out of five stars, with many customers leaving the establishment located in East Hanover, NJ feeling less than impressed. “This place is meh! I did not know that it was a place [from] RHONJ and I do not watch reality TV… This place barely deserves two stars,” KeiKei B. wrote. Another diner, Mae I., drove all the way from Philadelphia and was very disappointed. “Sorry Joe, Theresa, and Melissa — while I think you’re all great on the show, your restaurant turned me off and unfortunately, many others we had met and saw walk away.” Yikes.

At the time of the opening, Joe talked up about his inspiration to get into the restaurant business. “My mother loved to cook; it was like her drug,” Joe told People magazine. “I always told her I was gonna open up a restaurant for her. Then I got busy. While I signed a contract on this place we lost her. So this is for her.” And the homage to the Gorga family is everywhere. From photos on the walls to menu items such as Nonna’s Sunday Sauce and Gia’s Chicken Milanese, fans of the Bravo reality series will feel right at home — even if the food is subpar.

Given the lackluster reviews, it’s no surprise that the restaurant is at the center of some drama on this season of RHONJ. But, TBH, we’ll still be willing to give Gorga’s pizza a try!
