Wait… WHAT?! during the Bachelor in Paradise finale, we learned that “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile would be joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars. Well, on Sept. 12, we discovered from a teaser video that Joe is teaming up with reigning champ Jenna Johnson… and he no longer owns a grocery store!

While the pair did an adorable Q&A, Jenna asked for Joe to reveal something people don’t know about him. “I don’t know a grocery store anymore, that’s true. And I don’t like tea,” he said. He also said his goal is to win, but judging by his moves doing the macarena, voguing, and the stanky leg, his chances aren’t too good. 

Joe admitted his questionable skills to People, saying, “I don’t know how to dance. I don’t remember the last season I saw but it was probably a couple years ago. If I watch now, I’ll psych myself out. It will be really bad. I’ll probably be throwing up.” However, he did admit it’s a “great opportunity” and he’s excited about it. 

The first report came from Reality Steve on Sept. 3, just after Colton Underwood was announced on Good Morning America as the next star of The Bachelor, following his on-camera split from his Bachelor in Paradise girlfriend Tia Booth. Season 27 is set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 24, at 8/7 c.

Originally, the reality gossip blogger believed Joe would be partnered with Sharna Burgess, but on Sept. 4 he issued an update. “Got emailed that Sharna’s DWTS partner is Bobby Bones,” he tweeted. “Those people would know better than me. Regardless, Joe is definitely on DWTS.”

Fans, of course, want more of Joe’s dimples and sweet personality, so they’re thrilled, especially after their dreams were crushed of him becoming Bachelor. “Omg word on the street is Grocery Store Joe is going on DWTS!!! Please be true!” said one fan. Another agreed, tweeting, “Grocery Store Joe is my favorite person on this planet, I hope the DWTS rumors are true, that man has my heart.” We can’t wait!
