OMGZac Hanson Says You’ve Been Singing “MMMBop” Wrong for 20 Years

Alright people, dust off your Discmans, take a seat, and prepare to have your world ROCKED because the Hanson brothers just revealed you’ve been singing the smash hit “MMMBop” wrong since 1997.

That’s right, everyone's favorite trio of brothers, ZacIsaac, and Taylor, gave '90s girls the news of the millennium this week when they sat down at the Kyle & Jackie O Show to set the record straight on arguably their most iconic tune.

And it’s NOT just random sounds!

"Too many people put a 'wop' in there," Zac said on the radio show. "What happens is people go to sing that song and they start making it up as if it's nonsense. But it's actually a repetitive part, it came from doo-wop songs. So it's a background part."

Besides the intricate lyrics, Zac also talked about the sentimental meaning behind the pop jam.

"'MMMBop' represents a frame of time; 'In an MMMBop they're gone,' it says in the lyrics of the song," the 31-year-old explained. "The whole song's about the fact that almost everything in your life will come and go very quickly. You've got to figure out what matters and grab onto those things."

Well, this news comes in handy as the band is currently on a 25th anniversary tour.

It's clear that the bros' styles have really transformed over the years. From rocking long blonde locks to sporting a more mature look, the only thing that hasn't changed is the way they make our hearts sing!
