When Aaron Paul married Lauren Parsekian, he didn’t just marry a beautiful girl — he married a beautiful girl with an equally as beautiful soul.
Long before she met the “Breaking Bad” star, the Orange County, California native joined forces with college pal Molly Thompson and together they kicked off the Kind Campaign — a movement set on bringing awareness to girl-against-girl crime (think Tina Fey’s assembly in “Mean Girls”).
Life & Style recently caught up with the two women, who are currently in the middle of a tour of visiting schools across America to spread their message to young females.
Lauren tells Life & Style she was inspired to do something after she had issues with a group of girls in seventh grade. “That experience really took me out of it and gave me hope. Just having it in my head that one day I was going to figure out a way to talk about this and just really start a conversation.”
This incredible young lady has been supporting @kindcampaign through her own page called @kindcampaignbekind. She submitted her High School in Toronto for a free Kind Campaign assembly and with her submission she bravely wrote us about her life changing experiences with bullying at her previous school. We were so lucky to meet you and are so proud of how hard you worked to bring KC to Toronto 💛

During her years at Pepperdine University, she met Molly, who also faced a similar situation. Today, they’re using their personal experiences to inspire girls across the nation.
“One of the interactive features that we do in these assemblies is the Kind apology and we give groups of girls the opportunity to apologize for something that they’ve said or done,” Molly tells the mag. “It really puts the power in their hands to take ownership for their actions because a big part of the Kind Campaign’s message is that we’ve all been on both sides of this issue.”
As you may recall, Aaron brought publicity to his wife’s cause when he plugged the website during his Emmys acceptance speech. The site crashed and it’s something Lauren will never forget.
“He’s the best,” says Lauren, adding, “Aaron is so giving of himself to everyone he loves, strangers – that’s part of what I love so much about him. He’s always thinking of how he can help and celebrate. He’s just so kind that way. And he’s been such a champion for kind campaign since day one.”
