It was hard to ignore the fact that Arie Luyendyk Jr. had crazy chemistry with nanny Bekah Martinez on this season of The Bachelor. The adorable pixie-haired brunette left quite an impression when she arrived in a vintage Mustang, and the duo certainly engaged in their fair share of PDA. The only problem? Arie didn't know how old Bekah is… until almost midway through the competition. On the Jan. 22 episode, the pair went on a one-on-one date — and she was finally forced to reveal her age to Arie.

"My fear with you is that you might be where I was in my 20s. I think it's a valid fear," Arie confessed during dinner before dropping the question all of Bachelor Nation has been asking: "How old are you?" Not surprisingly, Bekah was hesitant to respond. "I don't want to say because I haven't been wanting you to see me through the lens of my age," she explained. After telling him that she's only 22, the race car driver couldn't hide his shock. "You are so young," he exclaimed, before admitting that he's worried she's not ready to settle down. "I'm not here for a 22-year-old girlfriend, I'm here for a wife," he told the camera. Unfortunately, Arie was unable to shake off those reservations, and Bekah was sent home just one episode later — and was still a huge topic of conversation on the Women Tell All special.

Bekah hinted at her age during her "sexy" non-limo entrance.

Yes, the California native looks super young, but sometimes looks can be deceiving — not in this case, though! At 22, she's 14 years younger than Arie. After stepping out of her cherry red car to meet the real estate agent for the first time, Bekah said, "I may be young, but I can still appreciate something classic." Our 36-year-old suitor was clearly a little too mesmerized to see any red flags. "She is so beautiful" was all Arie could muster as she walked away.

In a trailer released before the season even began airing, the other women speculate over whether or not Bekah's age will be a deal-breaker. "I think she is reluctant to tell Arie how old she is," single mom Chelsea Roy tells the camera. The next shot shows Bekah sobbing and saying, "I'm, like, sick of people saying that." Turns out, they were right.

Knowing how old Bekah is, fans are creeped out by her and Arie's intense make-out sessions.

The duo shared their first kiss during the demolition derby group date in Episode 2, and there was A LOT of tongue. They also got busy on the front steps of the mansion. But people on Twitter were not into it. "Anyone else disturbed watching Arie kiss Bekah? Like it looks like she’s making out with her dad," one viewer wrote, while another added, "Watching Arie make out with his daughter… I mean Bekah."

Apparently, neither one thought the other liked them on Night 1. "When you, obviously, rolled up and you were just like cool and amazing, I was like, 'I don't know if she likes me,'" Arie admitted to the art enthusiast, who responded with disbelief. But their hardcore kissing changed his mind (naturally). "I was literally thinking, 'He seems cool but, like, I'm not sure if I'm, like, a girl he could be into,'" Bekah then confessed.

She's not too young for a ~serious~ relationship.

Bekah revealed to Arie that her previous relationship lasted for almost three years before she auditioned for the show — so she has some experience when it comes to love. "It was just one of those things where we were just going in different directions," she told Arie. "And actually he was the one who broke up with me. At first, I thought I was devastated and heartbroken and then I realized, 'Oh, I thought I loved you so much,' and I thought I was in love and I feel like a burden was lifted off my shoulders now that we're not together anymore." Obviously, Arie could relate after his unexpected breakup with former Bachelorette Emily Maynard. "That can happen in a relationship," he said. "As soon as it's over, it can be a relief and sometimes you can have a breakup and you can be heartbroken for a long time."

She has dreams of owning an art studio.

In her Bachelor bio, the LA resident opened up about where she'd like to see herself in five years (aka at 27). "Teaching art or owning an art studio for children, hopefully, married and planning to have babies," Bekah shared. She also admitted that she's most afraid of "being trapped in an unfulfilling life" and losing her support system.

She's a daddy's girl.

Let's get past all of those gross Arie comparisons, shall we? When asked who she admires most in the world, Bekah answered, "My dad. He's incredibly wise and confident, he loves his family and wife more than anything, and he knows what he wants and goes for it."

She used to have blonde hair.

If you scroll back far enough on her Instagram, you'll see that Bekah likes to experiment with her hair color. And for a good chunk of 2016, she was blonde! "Here's a pic of boney lil me with some new blonde-ass hairs this past weekend," she captioned a photo of her 'do. She also tried pink for a brief period of time.
