Have you ever thought to yourself, “Hey, I love my iPhone, but I really want to ruin it!”

Neither have we. But apparently, the beauty bloggers of Instagram have and are now using their smartphones to blend their makeup!

Insta-famous makeup artist Jake Warden, 15, pretty much stunned his followers when he posted two videos in one week using his rose gold iPhone as a foundation blending tool. He’s since expanded his arsenal and used other electronics like his laptop.

Needless to say, even though Jake’s makeup is on point, people in the comments were just as confused by his techniques as we are.

“You're really good at makeup, but do you know how much phones and MacBooks cost? [They’re] so expensive,” one commenter wrote. “Do you know how much bacteria is on a phone or a MacBook?”

Though some fans were just interested in the brand of cover up or mascara Jake used in the tutorials, others were pretty put off by his unorthodox application methods.

“Amazing but I would never put foundation on my phone,” one follower posted, while another added, “I hope that phone was broken already.”

Jake isn't the only 'grammer to try this trend. Beauty influencer Kiki, who goes by spottedstyleblog on Instagram, posted a version of the tutorial, featuring her very own iPhone.

"Here's a foundation application video with me using my iPhone for my foundation," she wrote in the caption with laughing emojis.

While this might just be a way to get views, we hope this risky method was worth it! We’re just gonna stick with the back of our hands for the time being…
