Ever since Season 1 of The Voice, coach Blake Shelton has been a fan-favorite so of course, they’re worried that he might grow tired of the show, especially since he just announced a tour in 2018 and he’s got plans to have a baby with his longtime girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. But does all these new projects mean that Blake is leaving The Voice?

Not so fast. The 41-year-old has always been the subject rumors that he’s leaving the show — especially with the ever-changing coaches’ lineup. Blake and Adam Levine are the only coaches who have appeared on all 13 seasons of the singing competition series so fans think that it’s just inevitable that Blake will want to move on — especially after Gwen left the show. But in an interview with the Today show, he finally addressed the rumors once and for all.

“I’ve read many, many times about that — that I’ve been fired,” he told hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. “I don’t plan on going anywhere. I’d like to stay there as long as I can.”

We bet his fans are relieved and they’re making sure that he knows it! Many of them have tweeted at him while the show is on the air, letting him know that they would not be happy if he left. “The [Voice] would not be any good if you were to leave,” one fan wrote, while another fan commented, “You are the best coach ever. Love you, please never leave The Voice or I’ll have to stop watching it.”

And even though Blake is currently focusing on trying to have a baby with Gwen, it doesn’t mean that he’ll leave the show. His co-star Adam Levine is already a dad to one-year-old daughter Dusty Rose and his wife Behati Prinsloo is currently pregnant with their second child, so Blake can get tips from Adam. Just last week, sources exclusively revealed to Life & Style that Blake and Gwen are desperately trying for a daughter of their own.
