She’s sitting this one out. Jordyn Woods — Kylie Jenner‘s infamous former BFF — did not show up at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. Fans thought she may have decided to come through, especially because her new friend, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, was in attendance. But that isn’t the case.
Jordyn, 21, used to be tight with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star until Tristan Thompson was caught allegedly cheating on Khloé Kardashian with the model in February 2019. The SECNDNTURE designer was spotted canoodling with Tristan, 28, after a night out a bar. “They were cuddling, holding hands. Tristan was rubbing her ass, they were definitely hooking up,” a source told In Touch at the time.
Shortly afterward, Khloé, 35, and the basketball player — who share daughter True Thompson — finally broke up. So these events have got to be awkward for both Kylie and Jordyn if they end up in the same place at the same time, right? Thankfully, Jordyn seemed to avoid a messy situation by completely skipping the event.
Despite the potential awkwardness, Jordyn revealed in the September issue of Cosmopolitan U.K. that she has no hard feelings toward the Kylie Cosmetics founder. “I love her. That’s my homie. I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier,” Jordyn said.
Plus, a source told Us Weekly in August that Kylie doesn’t speak badly of her old friend. “None of the Kardashian/Jenners are speaking to Jordyn, but Kylie still won’t trash talk Jordyn. She doesn’t wish her ill will. Jordyn is off doing her own thing.”
Since the scandal went down, Jordyn has clearly kept busy. She’s constantly on social media and doing interviews for all sorts of media outlets. So even though she didn’t get an invite to the VMAs, we’re sure she’s doing just fine.
