Never Fall in Love at the ‘Jersey Shore’: How the Cast’s Hookups Have Imploded

Listen, we get the romantic appeal of a summer fling, but we'd never elect to live with any of our beachy ex-beaus in front of an international audience. That's basically the foundation of drama that built up the original run of Jersey Shore: in a land of perpetual vacation, relationships are hard to make, let alone maintain. And infidelity, love triangles, and a whole lot of fighting kicked off as soon as the guidos and guidettes hit the boardwalk. Or rather, as soon as they arrived in that infamous shore house.

Of course, when you think "never fall in love at the Jersey Shore," the first thing to pop to mind is Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola's tumultuous arguments. Like, we get it, we're all still going through therapy over the trauma of that relationship. Honestly, though, almost every little hook-up that happened between castmates (or otherwise) had its fair share of drama. In fact, the only couples that seemed relatively unscathed is Jenni "JWoww" Farley and her now-husband Roger Matthews. Oh, and of course, Vinny Guadagnino and DJ Pauly D. Theirs is a pure love that cannot be tainted by the craziness of their peers.

Anyway, because we're still seeing Ron and the gang eff up their relationships on-screen, here are some Shore flings that came with serious baggage.
