Talk about a sub-tweet, or should we say a "sub-gram." Jessica Simpson is clapping back at her mommy shamers — proving she does not care what you think about her parenting skills.
The fashion designer shared more photos of her five-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew in a bikini on Instagram, clearly ignoring her followers who believe Jessica should be more selective when it comes to type of photos she shares of her little girl.
"Safety first," Jessica captioned the snap, which shows her mini-me riding a scooter while wearing frilly two-piece and helmet. Fans instantly attacked the "With You" singer for posting a pic of her scantily clad daughter, with one writing, "Parents should never post pictures of their children, especially girls, in swimming attire or underwear. Perverted predators copy or screen shot the pictures and share them with each other.
This is definitely déjà vu for Jessica, who was called out after she posted a photo of her daughter in a similar outfit at her birthday party.
In the previous pic, Maxi Drew is dressed like a mermaid, wearing a crop top in the shape of shells and a sparkly tail skirt.
"My baby Maxwell is 5 years old today. She makes everyone's life mermaid magical," Jessica captioned the image, which includes husband Eric Johnson and three-year-old son Ace. "Happy Birthday to our fairytale princess. Mommy, Daddy, and Ace love you with our "holy hearts" (as Max would say)."
And while some fans commented on how cute the "fab fam" looked, a lot of people criticized the blonde beauty for letting her daughter wear the ensemble. "She's 5. Put some clothes on her. good grief," one follower wrote, while another said, "Kinda sad seeing a 5-year-old posing like that..."
One individual even claimed that Maxwell looked as if she's "trying out for the cover of Playboy."
This isn't the first time that Jessica's parenting has been bashed, particularly when it comes to her daughter. Back in February 2016, the 36-year-old shared a photo of Maxwell holding a milkshake with the caption, "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like it's better than yours..." — a reference to the popular 2003 song "Milkshake" by Kelis.
Instagram users weren't thrilled to see Jessica associating her then three-year-old with a song about attracting the opposite sex. "Inappropriate for a little kid," someone wrote at the time, though plenty of fans had the mother-of-two's back. "It's a joke people, she's holding a milkshake. Get your heads out of the gutter!!!" another person said.
We guess celebrity parents will never stop getting scrutinized. Scroll through the gallery below to see some of Maxwell's cutest pics!
