He's had a change of heart! Fans were heartbroken when WWE Superstars John Cena and Nikki Bella annonced that they were splitting up and called off their wedding in April, and one of the main reasons for their split was their differing stance on children. After years of being adamant that he did not want to have kids, John had had a complete face turn — and now he's explaining the reason why he changed his mind.

"I would love to be a dad," John told TMZ. "And by the way, that’s an about-face for me and I realize very much that I have been steadfast in saying that I don’t want children But I’m a little bit older now, a little bit wiser, and at age 18 we say things different [than at] age 25, at 35. I would love it only because I dedicated my life to my work, and now I’m realizing that there is life and life exists and it is beautiful and I think part of that is being a parent."

He went on to say that in the weeks since their split, he still talks to Nikki "all the time," and said that the former couple are still "best friends." He also said that he would still like to marry Nikki at some point in the future "if the situation is right," and he refused to confirm or deny whether they were back together yet or not.

But last week, sources revealed to Us Weekly that the couple reconciled their differences and they are back together. "Nikki called off the wedding earlier this month so she could have more time to make a decision with what she wanted in life," the insider revealed. "Calling off the wedding was the right decision at the moment and their relationship only grew from it. It didn’t mean that any love was lost, or that they lost any feelings for one another, but they both have realized that they love each other and want to be with one another."
