Nikki Bella and John Cena Legit Spent so Much Time Apart After Getting Engaged
It’s no secret that Nikki Bella and John Cena disagreed over some pretty big life decisions like having kids and getting married. But, what some people don’t realize, is that they actually had even more issues than just the ones they made public. During an interview segment in an upcoming episode of Total Bellas, Nikki confessed, “What’s hard at times that people don’t realize about my relationship is I’m alone a lot.”
So is that the reason they decided to split? It’s hard to say. However, the 34-year-old admitted that the couple only spent around 30 days together after John proposed — which is literally nothing. “Honestly, John and I have shared our bed together maybe 30 days total, out of six months,” she said. “Or 40 days. So hearing Brie [Bella] and Bryan [Danielson] talk about their family stuff, it makes it like just sink in a little bit more of how lonely it will be and how lonely it gets.”
The pair publicly called off their engagement on April 15 — just three weeks before they were set to get married. “After much contemplation and six years of being together Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple,” the statement read on Instagram. “While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another.”
Fans of Nikki and John should still have some hope that they will eventually rekindle their romance. “John is such an amazing man. He really is the love of my life,” Nikki told Entertainment Tonight on May 14. “I truly hope one day that we can work it out and get back together. I think there is hope.”
As for whether or not their busy schedules will ever ease up so they can spend more time as a couple — that’s still unclear. But, it doesn’t seem like Nikki is ever going to be down with her man constantly away from her.
