Remember the Miami Dude Jose Who Angelina Pivarnick Dated on ‘Jersey Shore’? He’s Engaged Now!
Perhaps one of the greatest romantic relationships to come out of Jersey Shore was Angelina Pivarnick and Jose, the dude she dated in Miami. (And by greatest, we mean that very, very sarcastically.)
Who can forget when Jose showed up to the Miami gelato shop where the cast worked? He donned a suit for the occasion (an ill-fitting suit, we might add) and after three days of knowing Angelina, 31, he professed his devotion by gifting her a Fossil watch.
"He bought her a Fossil watch," Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino said at the time. "I don't know how much it was — $39.99, $49.99 — but the man should be smushed," he added, referencing the reality gang's personal slang term for sex.
Angelina herself, however, wasn't so impressed.
"I get it," she said. "It's like, the episode where he showed up in the gelato shop in that suit had to have been him thinking he was being crafty, like, 'Oh, this will be a good scene, it'll make it in the show.' And who buys a watch for a girl the third day they know her? I mean, I still have the watch," she explained.
So where is Jose from Jersey Shore now? Well, he's engaged, a father of one, and still posting shirtless pics on the Internet.
What happened to Jose from Jersey Shore?
Jose Parga met Angelina Pivarnick while she was filming the MTV reality show in Miami in Season 2. Angelina, who has returned to her reality TV roots to appear on the spin-off series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, has since decried Jose's name. The Staten Island EMT went on record alleging that Jose was only into dating her for the fame.
"He leaves the Miami house this morning after he slept over. Paparazzi stays outside our house, like, 20 of 'em every morning, every afternoon, all day, every day," she said. "He walks out of the house, without a shirt on, posing for paparazzi! A, if you wanna be an actor, you don't pose for paparazzi. He's flexing, whatever."
"He wanted to bang me every night," Angelina continued. "But I knew he was in it for the fame! Like, I'm so intuitive. I get it. Anyway, I hit Jose on Facebook and every word in his status was like 'I can’t wait to be on Jersey Shore,' 'You're about to see your boy on Jersey Shore,' then when the first episode aired, 'Oh my god, you're famous,' whatever. Maybe he liked me. He's all like, 'I like you for you, blah blah blah.'"
What is Jose from Jersey Shore doing today?
According to his Facebook profile, Jose is engaged to Fernie Bustamente who also lives in Miami and works at NBCUniversal Hispanic. According to Facebook, they've been dating for about a year and a half.
But according to Angelina, he was a father when she met him, too.
"He just wanted to be on TV. He told producers that he wanted to be an actor! Didn’t tell me," Angelina said in a 2010 interview. "Like, he was running his own business, financial stuff. I'm thinking 'Hey, I meet this nice, cute guy in Miami,' but he's got a kid. He’s got baby mama drama. Kid's 25 and he's got a kid. No offense to kids who have kids, but, ugh, I don’t need that."
