You know you’re special when even your exes love you! Jennifer Aniston aka America’s Sweetheart turned 50 years old on February 11, and her ex-husband Justin Theroux could have just let that milestone pass in silence … but he didn’t. The 47-year-old Leftovers actor took to Instagram to absolutely gush over his former wife, and his birthday message was too darn sweet.

“Happy Birthday to this fierce woman,” he said in the caption of a photo featuring Jen holding up a pair of horns (and showing off some impressive muscles). “Fiercely loving. Fiercely kind … and fiercely funny. ❤️ you B.” Wow, what a glowing review from a man who used to be your husband, huh?

Fans were pretty shocked by the touching message. One wrote, “Aww, my heart just melted.” Another chimed in, saying, “Fanistons are passing out around the globe right now,” while a third agreed, “Dear Instagram world, people can still remain friends and love and support each other after divorce. That is all!”

Justin basically proved that his statement about the split in a September 2018 New York Times interview was the truth. “Neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other,” he said at the time. “It’s more like, it’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be … the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of.”

Justin isn’t the only ex to show Jen support on her big day. Her other ex-husband, Brad Pitt, actually scored an invite to her birthday party on February 9, and showed up to the star-studded West Hollywood bash. His appearance, naturally, has fans hoping for a reconciliation, but we’ll just have to wait and see what 50 has in store for our favorite Friend!
