Amid troubles in his marriage, Kanye West has found himself a new career… house flipper! After selling the Bel Air mansion he shared with Kim Kardashian for $17.8 million — $8.8 million more than what he paid for it in 2013 — the rapper got inspired to take on more projects.

“The sale has gone to Kanye’s head,” a source tells Life & Style exclusively. “He has glued himself to HGTV.” After watching shows like Flip or Flop, “he sees himself as someone who could become the newest property guru, making hundreds of millions from flipping homes.”

Though we’re not sure it’s the best fit for Kanye. He has, after all, spent more than three years renovating the Hidden Hills home he bought with Kim in August 2014. Life & Style previously reported that Kanye had big plans for the estate, including building a bowling alley, movie theater, and a top-notch recording studio on the property.

“Kanye is obsessed with every single aspect of this house,” a different insider shared. “He says it’s like a work of art and that there’s no detail too small for him to be involved in.” Unfortunately, his constant tweaks keep delaying the couple’s move-in date.

For example, Yeezy has ditched his design for multiple pools in favor of a pond and has redone the master bedroom five times (so far). “It’s frustrating for Kim,” the insider added. “He’s impossible to please and thinks nothing of changing direction midway and starting over.”

The lengthy construction process has unsurprisingly taken a toll on their marriage. Plus, the 40-year-old seems to be avoiding his home life. “[Kim and Kanye] recently had a blowout fight about him spending all his time in the recording studio,” a third source shared earlier this month. “There are days she doesn’t even see him, and he’s not out of the country or even the state — he’s in LA!”
