Despite reports that Kanye West canceled his NYFW show at the last minute, sources are reporting that the "Fade" rapper never planned to debut the collection in the first place. Fashion insiders claim that Kanye removed the show from the 2017 calendar without an explanation, but that's not the case.
The Yeezy show was never scheduled to happen, a source told Us Weekly. However, don't despair because Kanye is still planning to present his latest designs but just finalizing a date. Last fashion week, the rapper's show was deemed a disaster, after it started two hours late and featured models fainting from standing in the hot sun for hours.

“Most awful thing I have ever seen at #NYFW,” one fashion editor tweeted following the show. “This is shameful and horrible and I regret coming. #YeezySeason4.” Another guest added, "I’d like to see Kanye . . . stand in the hot sun in nude leotards for three hours.”
His no-show at NYFW also comes on the heels of his canceled Saint Pablo Tour and mental breakdown late last year. Kanye spent nine days at the UCLA Medical Center, and sources revealed to Life & Style that his doctors were very concerned.
"When he first went to the psych ward, he was hearing voices,” noted an insider. Soon, says another source, “He started telling people he’s a ‘starseed,’ an alien on a mission to help the Earth.”
However, we definitely see Kanye making his return to the fashion world sooner rather than later. “I don’t want to disrespect designers by calling myself a designer. I just think I have a vision of something that I want to do," he told Vogue. "I realized that it had all been a scam, that it had all been smoke and mirrors to present this concept that a straight black guy out of Chicago that’s a rapper, that’s married to a reality star, could somehow not design a coat, that can’t design a T-shirt, that can’t have enough of an opinion. You know, it’s like voting. Fashion is merely an opinion. And I’ve got a lot of opinions.
