Lovely! Kate Middleton was nothing but smiles as she posed on a swinging ball in a garden she designed for the Chelsea Flower Show.

On Saturday, May 18, the Kensington Palace Instagram shared numerous photos showing the Duchess of Cambridge’s “Back to Nature” garden, which according to the caption is a woodland wilderness that “aims to get people back to nature, and highlight the benefits of the natural world on our mental and physical wellbeing.”

“In recent years I have focused much of my work on the early years, and how instrumental they are for outcomes later in life,” the 37-year-old royal said in a statement. “I believe that spending time outdoors when we are young can play a role in laying the foundations for children to become happy, healthy adults.”

The mother-of-three worked with landscape architects Adam White and Andree Davies to create her nature vision, which includes “plants for craft activities, forest scents and a diverse range of plants.”

The garden, according to the palace, “forms part of Her Royal Highness’s ongoing work on early childhood development and her mission to support efforts that give every child the best possible start in life.” They added, “The Duchess has committed to making early childhood development the focus of her work in the years to come, and believes that providing children with the opportunity to spend time outdoors can play an important role.”

Both of the architects told Daily Mail that Prince William‘s wife brought a scrapbook full of pictures, photographs and ideas to every meeting as they planned the garden. So incredible!

Kate has always been about spending time outdoors, something she has made sure to pass down to her children. Earlier this year, the duchess visited King Henry’s Walk Garden in London while her two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were sadly stuck indoors at school.

“That’s where George and Charlotte would love to be is learning outside of the classroom. Not inside. It’s still fun inside, but it’s much better outside,” Kate told a group of cute kids at the garden’s kitchen.

We hope Kate’s little ones enjoy this new garden their mom designed! The Chelsea Flower Show runs from May 21 to 25 at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
