Katie Holmes Denies Jamie Foxx Split and We Couldn’t Be Happier
Don’t worry, guys, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are still very much together despite reports to the contrary, according to a new statement released through the actress’ representatives. After a Radar Online article claimed that the pair, who finally confirmed their long-rumored relationship last autumn, had parted ways due to “trust issues,” Katie’s spokesperson Leslie Sloane denied this, revealing that any such speculation is “100 percent untrue.”
Katie and Jamie were first linked in 2013, though it wasn’t until last September, when the couple were photographed holding hands on a beach in Malibu, that they seemed to confirm their relationship (often referred to as the worst kept secret in Hollywood) after years of speculation. Six months before, Grazia predicted that Katie and Jamie would go public before the end of the summer, following the expiration of a five-year “public dating” ban clause in Katie’s divorce from Tom Cruise.
This new statement marks the first time that Katie has — albeit indirectly — commented on her relationship with Jamie, as the couple have remained fiercely private. Last February, when he was participating in the NBA’s All-Star Celebrity basketball game, Jamie walked away from a live interview when the presenter asked him about how he’d spent Valentine’s Day with his girlfriend.
Back in January, a source told Us Weekly that the couple were going from strength to strength, revealing that “they’re starting to be more comfortable about their relationship. They’d both been in public relationships before. They care about each other a lot and they tried to stay as quiet as possible because they didn’t want to ruin that.” Around the same time, the couple were pictured looking close at a Grammys pre-party, though seemed so keen to avoid attention that Katie later swapped seats to nix any chances of further photo opportunities.
