The former Playboy model ditched her long platinum hair for a darker shaggy bob amid her divorce from husband Hank Baskett — and she looks good. The Kendra on Top star shared her makeover on Instagram along with the reason behind the reason for the chop.

“Been wanting to experiment like this for a long time n here it is. So excited for this change but I’ll always stay true to my roots,” she captioned the photo. Fans of the reality star were definitely loving the change. “Absolutely gorgeous and so amazing,” one follower commented before another added, “You look beautiful as a brunette! Welcome to the dark side!”

The hair transformation comes just a few days after Kendra announced she would be splitting from her husband of nearly nine years in an emotional video on the social media platform. “I did everything I could, it wasn’t good enough,” she said between tears. “I will always love him and my heart will always remain open to him. I believed him forever. I really did. Guess it’s just not meant to be.” The couple share eight-year-old son Hank IV and daughter Alijah, 3.

She went on to explain why the couple decided to end their marriage in another candid post, adding, “I want to see happy Hank again. I miss that. Marriage was just a piece of paper and a piece of jewelry but our hearts will always be real. You will [probably] see us together a lot but it’s because there’s no hate. Love wins in this case it’s just looks a little funny.”

This is not the only major change for Kendra following her split. The 32-year-old beauty also shared the heartbreaking news that her pup Martini had passed away. “Martini has been by my side for 16 years. We will miss her,” Kendra wrote. “This is one dog that has seen [and] been through it all. Lol from San Diego to the Playboy mansion, to the east coast to Calabasas, I can say she lived her best life. #ripMartini.”
