Kim Kardashian Wishes Kanye West a Happy Father’s Day Amid Marriage Counseling Woes

Even though they’re experiencing issues in their marriage, he’s still the father of her children.

Kim Kardashian took to Instagram on Sunday, June 18 to pay tribute to her husband Kanye West on Father’s Day, despite the fact that they’re currently in marriage counseling to try to work on the issues in their relationship.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared photos of the rapper with their two children — four-year-old daughter North and one-year-old son Saint — and her caption didn’t seem to come from the heart.

“Happy Fathers Day! Thank you for being such a good dad to our babies!” the 36-year-old wrote on Instagram.

It’s a far cry from the extremely emotional message she shared with her fans about her own father, Robert Kardashian Sr., who died in 2003 after a battle with Esophageal cancer.

“God I am so lucky you were my dad,” she gushed. “I remember right before you passed away I thanked you for everything u taught me [and] I told [you] I would raise my kids with everything I learned from you, whenever that time would come. Well I kept my promise dad! Thank you for being the best!”

Her tribute to Kanye might be a sign of the strain that Kim is feeling in her relationship. Sources exclusively revealed to Life & Style that the couple is currently in marriage counseling after a six-week trial separation earlier this year.

“Their therapist comes to their home and talks with them,” the insider revealed. “They were considering divorce, but decided to try to work it out. It’s been an uphill battle, but they’ve come a long way.”

Kim and Kanye, 40, have only been married for three years but they’re already working through some very important issues — like Kanye’s anger issues and their differing views on whether to have a third child

“They’re learning how to communicate and understand each other. They have learned to get along again,” the source said. “The therapy is helping, for now.”
