This feud is still going strong! After laying low for nearly a year, Taylor Swift came back swinging with her new album Reputation where she seems to take jab after jab at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in their ongoing battle against each other. But even though Kimye seemed awfully quiet in the weeks since Taylor’s record release, that doesn’t mean that they weren’t plotting and now Kim took a subtle, calculated jab back at Taylor on Instagram and the Swifties are flooding her comments with rat emojis. Watch the video below to see the photo that reignited Kimye and Taylor’s social media war!

Taylor Swift and Kimye’s feud dates all the way back to the 2008 MTV VMAs where Kanye infamously interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video. Even though Kim and Kanye weren’t dating at the time, Kim played a big role in easing the relationship between Taylor and Kanye afterward, and Kimye were photographed hanging out with Taylor at multiple award shows between 2012-2016.

Things took a turn after Kanye’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in February 2016, where attendees were also treated to an exclusive listening party for his 2016 album Life of Pablo. In his song “Famous,” Kanye rapped about Taylor in the line “For all my Southside n—s that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b—h famous / Goddamn / I made that b—h famous.”

Taylor would indirectly address the lyric a few weeks later in her 2016 Grammys acceptance speech, making it seem like she didn’t approve of the lyrics in Kanye’s song but in July, Kim insisted that Taylor had been notified about the song before it even came out. Later that month, Kim released video footage of a phone call that took place between Kanye and Taylor while Kanye was in the studio, proving that Taylor was aware of the song.

“If people ask me about it, look, I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘He called me and told me before it came out…joke’s on you, guys. We’re fine,” she can be heard saying. After Kim posted the clip to Snapchat, fans flooded Taylor’s Instagram comments with snake emoji, which is usually used to indicate someone who is sneaky and untrustworthy.
