It's been a tough year for Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott.

The singer revealed on Good Morning America Monday that she suffered a miscarriage last fall, and has been dealing with the aftermath ever since.

"I…feel like there's this pressure that you're just supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened," the 30-year-old explained, adding that the incident inspired her to record an album of hymns with her family.

When writing the first single, "Thy Will," Hillary said she was in the midst of "experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage. So it was my most raw place that I could've ever been when this song truly poured out of me."

The Grammy winner and her husband Chris Tyrrell are parents to a two-year-old daughter named Eisele Kaye, and Hillary admitted the miscarriage changed the way she interacts with the tot.

"I'm a different mom to her now… I hug her a lot tighter," she shared.
